Ken Klebanoff

Ken Klebanoff is a Brookwood shareholder who retired from Brookwood after many years of service with the company. He continues to be a trusted advisor to the firm. He has significant experience both as an architect and as a developer in the management of development, design, construction documentation, and construction administration of large scale office, residential and mixed use projects.

From 1981 to 1991, while serving as project manager for the firm of John Burgee and Philip Johnson, he supervised design and construction for high-rise projects throughout the United States totaling more than 10 million square feet, including 580 California Street in San Francisco, United Bank Center in Denver, Comerica Bank Tower in Dallas, and 191 Peachtree Tower in Atlanta.

In 1991, Ken joined Brookwood as Vice President, managing the design of a new high-rise, an -integral part of the facilities master plan Brookwood produced for the Coca-Cola Company headquarters. He also directed Brookwood's planning and documentation for the unification of more than 400 branch banks for Chemical Banking Corporation, resulting from Chemical Bank’s merger with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company. Ken's residential experience at Brookwood includes the design and development management of The Wakefield, a 190,000 square foot luxury high-rise cooperative in Buckhead, Atlanta.

From 1996 through 2001 Ken, while at Wynnton Group was responsible for the overall management of the design and construction of The Renaissance Apartments--phase one of a 10.5 acre mixed-use development in Sarasota, Florida, 345 Bayshore, a 250-unit, 20-story luxury high-rise in Tampa, and Appling Lakes, a 312-unit garden apartment development in Memphis. From 2002 through 2012, Ken partnered with Artisan Properties to develop and construct more than 500,000 SF of office and warehouse space through-out Georgia and subsequently formed the Trylon Company which provided design and management services including the development of Commerce Park, a flex-office condominium development in North Atlanta.

Ken rejoined Brookwood in 2012 as a project manager for the new 6 story academic addition to Georgia State University’s Classroom South Building and in 2016, permanently relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area to provide project oversight for two multi-family infill projects in South San Francisco. Other recent management assignments include the acquisition due diligence of existing real estate projects as well as oversight of technical aspects and construction on mult-family housing, office building, and hotel developments throughout California.

Ken graduated from the University of Texas in 1978 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, cum laude. He is a registered architect, NCARB certified, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and a LEED Accredited Professional.
