Geoff Azaroff
Geoffrey Azaroff serves as a Brookwood Senior Consultant. He is based in Charlotte and also is active in New York City. Geoff is an expert and knowledgeable professional with more than 40 years of experience designing and building large-scale mixed-use commercial projects, ranging in size from $4 million to $100 million. He has superior construction management, real estate development, business development, and project management skills.
Geoff deals with high profile projects with aggressive schedules and budget challenges. He has the consummate ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks with efficiency and a sense of urgency as well as the ability to take the initiative where needed and to work well independently.
In his most recent capacity, Geoff has been responsible for all construction projects and capital projects for the 3 million square feet of commercial buildings in the Edge Funds Portfolio in New York City. This work includes, but is not limited to, lobby upgrades, new roofs, mechanical and life safety upgrades, tenant fit out, and all type of construction and modernization associated with the buildings.
Geoff was responsible for the design and construction management of The Portals Buildings B, C and D, in Washington, DC with a total square footage of 2.5 million square feet and a combined value of more than $250 million. In addition, he worked on both phases of the Republic Square office development located on Capitol Hill. This project consisted of two office towers totaling 700,000 square feet. He also managed the tenant build-out for these projects.
His past projects include the Charles E. Smith corporate headquarters in Crystal City, Virginia; the World Cup at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.; and numerous large-scale office buildings for clients with specific requirements, including the Federal Communications Commission and a country forensic crime lab.
Geoff founded and was a principal of Artisan Partners Construction Services which provided construction management and owner representation services to varied clients including business owners, corporations, country clubs, developers, hotels, schools, religious institutions, and trade associations. His responsibilities included overseeing projects through all phases of development, design, and construction.
Geoff has an Masters degree in Engineering Management from Catholic University and a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University.
